Well actually, I don’t know of any Professional Employer Organization who is offering Black Friday specials.  My message for today is that when business owners find a quality PEO they like the PEO the services are unbelievable.

I love Thanksgiving… outside of a few hiccups life has been grand, and it’s wonderful to have a holiday like Thanksgiving to remind us to count our blessings. 

And if we take the time to look around, the majority of us have so much to be thankful for. 

So I’m keeping today’s blog short and simple… take 5 minutes to think about what you’re thankful for… personally, my family, my friends, my faith, my business… well, I need more than 5 minutes.  But once you’ve thought about it, call – text – poke – email – tweet - tag a couple people that are special to you and let them know you are thankful for their friendship – you’ll make their day and yours.

So anyway, it’s really funny that in one week I’ve had two of the questions that make me laugh come up.  Yesterday’s blog was addressed the question, “Why doesn’t everyone use a PEO?”  So yesterday I started participating in a business owner’s roundtable where we discuss issues that relate to business issues from an ownership perspective. 

So we start going around doing our introductions and after I did my introduction and then went into an explanation of what a Professional Employer Organization does, the individual next to me looks at me and says “Where have you been?”  I need you to help me…. So if you read yesterday’s PEO Blog you know I typically name situations.  I looked at the individual and said, you’re a 10 percenter!

Why doesn’t everyone use a PEO?  Every time someone asks me that question it makes me laugh. I’ve gotten to the point where I just say it’s all about the light bulb.

It happened again last week, a new client asked me “Why doesn’t everyone use a PEO – Professional Employer Organization?  I chuckled and said, it’s all about the light bulb.  On the back of my business card I have this message…. “Professional Employer Organizations are simply a better way to manage employment.  If you have employees, we help you consolidate the processes required to manage them… including Human Resources, Workers Compensation, Benefits, Payroll and more.  Our concept shares technology, expertise, and services all while taking advantage of pooled purchasing power.  We create employment practices and benefit offerings designed to attract and retain the best employees.”  That’s it, simple and to the point.
