Interesting Day at the NAPEO Professional Employer Marketplace 2011 | PEO Blog

I love attending industry trade shows, there are always Gold Nuggets to be found and I think I may have found a few.  As far as the event goes, it opened yesterday with some great sessions and nice opening event at the exhibtor marketplace.  I would like to send out a Thank You to my friends at Risk Transfer Inc., they hosted a after hours event at The Funky Monkey, it was great to spend time with a lot of industry friends and make some new acquaintances.  As far as exhibitors you need to visit with, make sure you see Randy at Netwise - he has a great program for proposal generation help’s PEO’s with managing profitability.  Will at Payroll Funding can help PEO’s with those client companies who my need just a little help with covering payroll, both short term and over time - a great tool to help a PEO keep a client company that is having a cash crunch. 

That’s it for now, in closing, I am wondering where all the tweeters are, with all the social media tools available to us, I’m not seeing much activity…let us know where you are finding the nuggets!

NAPEO one of the PEO Industries Associations has proposed a new bill - NAPEO’s Small Business Efficiency Act of 2011 (H.R.2466), as always it would appear that the bill is written primarily for the benefit of the LARGE PEO’s in the country.  If you own a PEO, work for a PEO, are or aren’t a NAPEO member, you need to read the following view of NAPEO’s bill as written by PACE.  PACE, the Professional Administrative Co-Employers have always been our industries watchdog when it comes to legislation that NAPEO proposes… I couldn’t agree with the article more… read the article and let NAPEO know, they need to understand the legislation they propose needs to represent the needs of the entire industry not just a few large PEO’s.
